Ines Ben El Ghazi, the writer behind narrativecase, is interested in how language operates when it matters most — whether in fiction, or in the construction of a persuasive argument.

Studying English Literature at Cardiff Metropolitan University has led her to focus on the relationship between narrative and real-life: how stories persuade, how voice establishes influence, and how meaning is shaped.

narrativecase's work moves between critical and creative writing, often exploring questions of ambiguity, justice, and power.

Ines is drawn to structured forms such as monologues and case-style narratives, but a particular curiosity is peaked in where those structures begin to loosen.

Black Feminist writer, bell hooks.

She is also someone who believes writing should be self-aware.

What she means by this is, if something can be said in ten words instead of twenty, it probably should be.

*(Note: this is a principle Ines admires, if not always successfully followed.)

narrativecase therefore is a space that allows Ines to explore the boundaries of creative practice.

It's a portfolio, but also a designated corner of the internet to experiment with how far narrative can stretch while still holding its shape.
